We believe that mental wellness is a fundamental aspect of overall well-being and that everyone deserves help to navigate life's challenges.
With the unprecedented demand for mental health services and the prohibitively high costs often not covered by insurance, we realized this crisis must be addressed in innovative and creative ways.
We need to promote wellness through personal understanding and the power of community.
By offering a variety of resources and tools in the form of presentations, books, curriculum, podcasts, and workshops, we can enhance traditional mental health care and create a space where individuals feel empowered to prioritize their mental health.
Access to relevant and meaningful content in a safe and comfortable environment raises awareness, fosters education, and creates community that will help to break down the stigma surrounding mental health building a more open and welcoming place for those struggling as well as their support systems.
Together we can work to improve mental health outcomes and create a more compassionate and understanding world.
We base our work at Getting Thru Together on Three Pillars: Education, Awareness and Community
Education: We work to empower individuals with the foundational knowledge, tools and preventative strategies needed to address mental well-being.
Awareness: We strive to broaden public understanding and acceptance of mental health as a critical component of overall wellness leading to reduced stigma, easier access and policy changes to support mental health services
Community: We are committed to providing a social support network through the creation of a safe space for individuals to share experiences and seek advice offering a network of allies as a testament to the fact that no one should have to face their struggles alone.
The mental health crisis is the pandemic without a vaccine.
